Compulsory induction for graduate research students

As a new graduate researcher at Macquarie, you are required to complete a mandatory induction program.

The Graduate Research Induction (GRI) is designed to familiarise students with essential codes and policies that are relevant to your responsibilities as a graduate researcher at Macquarie, and to increase your awareness of valuable support, services and resources available to you.

This unit is compulsory for all new graduate research students and is a prerequisite for your Confirmation of Candidature (CoC). You should aim to complete the entire unit within four (4) weeks of commencement. To facilitate this, the unit has been structured around four (4) weekly topics:

Week 1:  Safety and behaviour
Week 2: Research ethics and integrity
Week 3: Data management and intellectual property
Week 4: Development support and resources

To complete the GRI:

  1. Access the Graduate Research Induction
  2. Enter your student OneID username (MQ followed by your student number, eg MQ12345678) and password to log in to iLearn.

If you are new to iLearn, you may consider reviewing this Getting Started guide before you begin.

If you unable to log into iLearn, ensure you have entered your username and password correctly. Note that both your username and your password are case sensitive. If you still experience difficulties, you should contact the IT Help Desk.
