Our childcare centres provide a safe, healthy, sustainable and nurturing environment for children.
If you are a student who has a child or children aged between six weeks to five years, our Early Learning Centres – Banksia Cottage, Gumnut Cottage and Waratah Cottage can cater to their needs. Vacation care is also offered during NSW public school holidays for primary school children.
Banksia Cottage
Banksia Cottage is a high quality learning centre at Macquarie University which offers ongoing, permanent placements for children. The Early Learning Centre offers programs that are child focused, play based and reflective of current research and the Early Years Learning Framework. Each child's learning is facilitated, guided, and extended by our experienced team of educators.
Gumnut Cottage
Gumnut Cottage has a long history of providing exceptional education and care programs. The cottage staff have always focused on establishing and maintaining relationships to support families and children, and are now embarking on a journey of finding innovative ways to deliver and share learning programs that enhance learning for all.
Waratah Cottage
Waratah Cottage offers the same high quality childcare programs through permanent placements whilst also offering temporary casual care for children during NSW Public School terms.
We are a newly opened early learning centre, co-located with the long day care centre.
Vacation Care
Vacation care provides a holiday recreational program for primary school aged children. Our program changes each holiday period. Children are encouraged to contribute to the program by offering suggestions to our carers. The program reflects 'My Time, Our Place', the curriculum framework for School Aged Services. At times of the day the children are separated into age groups to ensure the age appropriateness of the activities on offer.
Junior Science Academy
Blast off into the world of science in a fun, safe environment! Our Junior Science Academy allows primary-school age children to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) concepts in a new light through engaging and interactive experiences that have been developed by experts and delivered by experienced educators.
School Holiday Programs
Play, learn and grow at Macquarie with exciting adventures, cool activities, super sports and awesome creations. These and more are on offer at our School Holiday Programs with age-appropriate activities for five to 14 year olds.
