Getting started – what you need to know

We strive to maintain an accessible learning environment for all students

Welcome to Macquarie University! We work hard to ensure all students have equal access to their courses and university activities so they can reach their full potential.

Register with the Accessibility Service

Disability advisors and support staff can create an Individual Education Access Plan for you that outlines the reasonable adjustments you require to assist you to succeed at university.

Visit the Accessibility Service page for further information about eligibility and steps for registration.

Travel to, and around, campus safely

Plan your first trip to Macquarie University using NSW Government Transport’s Accessible Travel website.

Learn about our campus’ accessible entrances, parking options and bathroom locations via Macquarie’s accessible campus map [PDF 168].

Join a Student Wellbeing Skillshop

Register for a Skillshop group; Accessibility Services registration is not required to join these groups.

Each group is tailored to overcome challenges or barriers to study that may be experienced due to the impact of their specific disability/Health condition.

Zoom workshops will run in replacement to on-campus sessions when COVID restrictions apply.

#BeReady4MQ provides online content for external students who may not be able to attend workshops running at scheduled times online or in person.
