Students can provide feedback on services, systems & spaces
Provide feedbackCommunity feedback helps us to improve the Macquarie experience.
By actively engaging with students, postgraduates and the wider community, we’re able to cultivate a thriving university environment. We leverage comprehensive tools – such as the Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) surveys – to gather feedback, promoting a culture of growth, innovation and inclusivity.
SES is an annual initiative in Australia collecting data on the experiences of current undergraduates and postgraduates in universities. It informs policy and quality improvement at university and national levels, focusing on teaching quality, skills development, learner engagement, student support, and learning resources.
SES is conducted by the Social Research Centre and is part of the QILT suite.
GOS collects information from graduates about their experiences and post-qualification pursuits. The survey is aimed at improving educational quality by targeting graduates who completed degrees four to six months prior.
GOS is conducted by the Social Research Centre and is part of the QILT suite.
The Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS) includes a longitudinal component known as the Graduate Outcomes Survey – Longitudinal (GOS-L), designed to assess the long-term outcomes of graduates. The GOS-L follows up with GOS participants three years after the original survey.
GOS-L is conducted by the Social Research Centre and is part of the QILT suite.
ESS serves as the final component of the QILT program, focusing on obtaining feedback from employers of university graduates. This feedback includes details about generic skills, technical skills and work readiness of the employed graduate. The employer is contacted about the ESS after the completion of the GOS fieldwork.
GOS-L is conducted by the Social Research Centre and is part of the QILT suite.
Macquarie University undertakes MUSEQ-R to understand the higher degree research students' experiences in their research training.
