Check your study goals

Use our course guidance to help you understand and plan your studies to make sure you're on the right path.

Macquarie University has a range of resources available to help students understand their courses and make informed decisions about their studies. This self-help tool helps you find the resources you need to understand your course, its requirements, or the effects of making changes to your degree.

The Course Guidance form has three sections:

Academic Standing
  • Learn about Academic Standing
  • Complete required actions to lift an Academic Standing sanction (for students on Monitored Enrolment or Probation)
Course Progression Check
  • Learn how to determine your remaining units to plan your studies
  • Watch our video on how you can self-check your course progression
  • You should have completed at least half of your course prior to requesting a progression check. Review the information available in the form or view our video for guidance if you are early on in your course.
Course Changes
  • Learn about Course Transfers (changing from one degree to another)
  • Learn how making changes to your Major, Minor, or Specialisation can affect your studies

Students in specific circumstances can also be referred for additional course support through this form.
