Graduating in absentia

If you can’t attend your graduation ceremony, there are alternative options available.

If you want to opt out of your ceremony (graduate in absentia), you can arrange to receive your documents at a later date.

Applying to graduate in absentia

You have three options for receiving your documents:

• standard mail
• express courier
• collection from the University

If you choose to receive the documents via mail, make sure your address is correct in eStudent.

You can also choose to defer your graduation if there are circumstances preventing you from attending.
