Wellbeing and mental health

There is a range of support services available at the university to help you settle into campus life. The Accommodation team are always on hand and will be able to help or put you in touch with someone who can. The University offer services and support in areas including:

  • mental health
  • counselling
  • personal safety
  • relationships
  • accessibility.

Maintenance

Maintenance support is available if you have a problem in your room or apartment, such as a leaking tap’. Our friendly property team will try to fix things as soon as a job is logged, and you will receive regular updates of its progress.

Our Security team are on-site at the accommodation:

  • 6pm to 8am, Monday to Friday
  • all weekend.

They are located at the main reception area, and conduct regular patrols to ensure the building is secure.

They can:

  • assist if you get locked out of your room
  • escalate emergency maintenance issues
  • manage out of hours emergencies, as they are all first aid trained.
