Get your results

Session 2 results are available on 9th December. Here’s how it works:

  • Results will be emailed to MQ student email addresses FROM 9am (AEDT)
  • The emails are sent in batches throughout the day - so not to everyone at 9am
  • Results are also available in eStudent later in the afternoon

We hope you get the results you wanted.

And don’t forget, if you want to get ahead, or catch up, Session 3 enrolment is still open.

Reactivate your English over the summer

A laptop screen showing a video call among several people. A house plant is on the right side.

We know it’s been tough for some of you to keep your English language active while you’ve been in your home country. To help you reactivate your English, we’d like to offer you the opportunity to complete our free Fundamentals of University English module:

  • 6 weeks of study you can do in your own time + 6 free live-streamed workshops with a Macquarie language specialist.
  • Choose the field of study that suits you: Business, Arts/Social Sciences, Science/Engineering or Medical Sciences.
  • 6 weeks of discussion groups led by the Learning Skills Unit. Meet other students while practising your spoken language!
  • Did we mention that it’s all free?

This program is for international MQ students whose first language is not English and will be available over the Australian summer break, commencing 13 December.

Questions to ask before you connect

LinkedIn has always been the site for professionals when it comes to social networking, but features such as endorsements and connections are very similar to the 'like' and 'friends/followers' features of Facebook and Twitter. The key to keeping LinkedIn 'professional' is to make sure these features are used in a discerning, rather than flippant manner.

Ways to build experience over summer

Young female smiling for a photo.

The summer vacation is a great time to get some valuable work experience and one way to do this is to get an internship, however, securing one is not always easy. There are limited openings, meaning competition is fierce and this has only been exacerbated by the pandemic.
