Patrick's advice on taking on an internship while studying

Are you thinking of ways to develop new skills while applying what you’ve learned at university in a workplace environment? Want to gain experience in the field you are studying? Well, internships are a great way for you as a student to achieve that.

While I myself have not yet taken part in an internship, they are a great way to show future employers that you can handle working in a professional environment.

No matter how far along you are in your studies, internships can be taken on by undergraduate and postgraduate students alike. As long as you are committed, determined, and eager, you should definitely consider taking on an internship.

Types of internships

While internships can be paid and unpaid, please don't disregard unpaid internships! They are just as valuable! Even though some internships are unpaid, being able to learn and develop your skills while also developing your competencies in a professional work environment is just as valuable as earning money.
