Whether it be studying with your friends or catching up with your classmates, Macquarie University has plenty of locations available for students to socialise. Here are some of the best places to study and hang out on campus.

Library

With five levels of spaces available for individual and group study, the library is a great place on campus for study and research.

With Presentation Practice Pods available on Level 1, hone your presentation skills to help you ace your group presentations. The whiteboards and TV screens available allow you to plug in and share your presentation slides from your laptop as part of your practice.

Are you a postgraduate student? Level 3 is a dedicated study space only for postgraduate students!

Enrolled in Higher Degree Research or Master of Research studies? With faculty-specific research librarians happy to assist you, the Higher Degree Research study space exclusive to HDR students is available on Level 5 of the Library.

1 Central Courtyard

With a range of retail outlets along with study and teaching spaces, 1 Central Courtyard is guaranteed to make learning easy, fun, and collaborative.

Located upstairs, Macquarie’s innovative approach to learning is reflected in the 26 assorted teaching rooms, interactive makerspaces, and breakout study areas. With spaces for both individual and group study sessions, power points at all study desks are guaranteed to provide a lasting study session.

The Hub

With over 17 retail outlets to choose from, The hub is a great space for students to relax and unwind.  Hungry for snacks and drinks? Grab a drink at the Ubar, and enjoy live music with views overlooking Macquarie Lake.

With various student discounts and promotions on campus, The Hub is an excellent place to meet up with your friends, unwind and relax.
