Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship – CHED (Philippines)
The Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship – CHED (Philippines) provides a partial tuition fee scholarship for outstanding Filipino students to study at Macquarie University for selected programs. This scholarship is introduced to support those who share the passion to study in the area of commerce, education, security studies and cyber security, our elite and highly ranked programs at Macquarie University.
The Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship – CHED is highly competitive and will be awarded progressively throughout Session 1 (February) and Session 2 (July) to future applicants to Macquarie University based on academic merit as follows:

What does the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship – CHED cover?
The Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship – CHED is a Partial Scholarship for selected postgraduate programs that covers 30% of the tuition fee for the length of your program.
The Philippines Commission on Higher Education (CHED) will provide the remaining 70% of the tuition fee plus financial support in the form of a living allowance, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), airfares, accommodation, conferences or other costs associated with study.
Scholarships are limited so we encourage you to apply and accept early to avoid dissapointment.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Have citizenship of Philippines.
- Have been approved for this scholarship by Commission on Higher Education of Philippines (CHED).
- Hold a full offer from Macquarie University for one of the following six programs:

- Be currently Faculty teaching or non-teaching personnel (full-time or part-time).
- Meet the additional CHED scholarship requirements.
- Commence the degree program in 2020 or 2021. Commencement may not be deferred.
- Have applied for a course which is longer than 1 session in duration with a full-time study load.
You are NOT eligible if:
- You are a citizen of Australia or New Zealand, or hold permanent residency of Australia.
- You are currently enrolled at Macquarie University for a program which is equivalent in level.
- You have applied for programs other than the courses listed above.
- You have completed the same level or a higher level of study previously.
- You are in receipt of any other scholarship from Macquarie University.
- You are a Study Abroad or an Exchange student coming to Macquarie University.
- You have applied or are currently enrolled at Macquarie University International College or Macquarie City Campus.
How to apply
- Applicants must complete an online course application form. Once your course application has been processed, you will receive a Macquarie University Student Number which is compulsory to submit the online scholarship application form.
- Applicants must complete an online scholarship application form and type “CHED" in the Scholarship Name field.
- Applicants must be nominated by CHED for this scholarship. Please refer to the official website of CHED for details.
Once you have completed the online scholarship application form, a confirmation email will be sent to you at your nominated email address. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
