Macquarie University does not use Canvas
The University is aware of the reported cyber security incident involving Canvas, a third-party learning management platform.
Macquarie does not use Canvas for teaching or learning activities.
The University’s cyber security team is continuing to monitor our systems and networks. The University is also reminding the community to practise good online security, including:
- using strong and unique passwords
- enabling multi-factor authentication where available
- keeping software updated, and
- being alert to potential cyber threats from unexpected emails, texts or calls seeking personal information.
Students or staff who need any technical support should contact the University’s IT Service Desk through OneHelp.
