Reporting general misconduct
General misconduct is when a student or student organisation engages in conduct that is prohibited under the Student Code of Conduct, or any other University regulation.
You can notify Macquarie of incidents involving general misconduct. You can also make a complaint about a service or experience or provide feedback to help us improve.
General misconduct includes, but is not limited to:
- Disruption and harm
- Dishonesty
- Breaching safety measures
- Breaching rights
- Consumption of alcohol and drugs
- Affecting property
- Failing to cooperate with authorities
The Student Code of Conduct is supported by Student Discipline Rules. All students have the responsibility to comply with them.

Students must acknowledge and follow the University by-laws, rules, policies and other codes of conduct published by the University. These include:
