Support
Contact the Accommodation team first if you need assistance. They will either be able to help you, or put you in touch with someone who can.
Wellbeing and mental health
The Accommodation team are always on hand to listen, however sometimes an issue may require additional support or confidentiality.
In these situations, the University wellbeing team are here to help. They offer services and support in areas including:
- mental health
- counselling
- personal safety
- relationships
- accessibility.

Maintenance
If you encounter a maintenance problem in your apartment or room, report it as soon as it occurs.
- Submit a request on your student portal.
- The Accommodation team will check the issue, and try to fix it.
- If necessary, the Accommodation team will escalate the issue to the University’s specialised Maintenance team.
If it is an emergency, eg all your power is off, come to reception and we will be able to escalate the issue quickly.
Security
Our Security team are on-site at the accommodation:
- 5.30pm to 8am, Monday to Friday
- all weekend.
They are located at the main reception area, and conduct regular patrols to ensure the building is secure.
They can:
- assist if you get locked out of your room
- escalate emergency maintenance issues
- manage out of hours emergencies, as they are all first aid trained.
