Welcome to your home away from home

Central Courtyard student accommodation is more than just a room. Our Residential Life program will support your transition into university life and beyond.

Our Res Life program

Throughout your stay, we provide a variety of events, activities, and support designed around our 3 S’s Model:
Social — building connections and community
Skills — developing practical and academic abilities
Support — ensuring your wellbeing and safety

Our Residential Life (Res Life) team is dedicated to creating a vibrant, inclusive community where you'll feel at home from day one. We organise a wide range of social events and activities designed to help you meet new people, make friends, and experience the best of student life beyond the classroom. Some of our previous events include:

  • Surfing lessons
  • Day trips
  • Trivia
  • Cultural Food Festival

No matter where you're from, there's a place — and a community — for you here.

Res Life isn’t just about fun — we’re here to support your wellbeing too. Our team runs regular events focused on mental health, academic success, and personal development.

Some of our previous events include:

  • Exam Stress Relief (e.g. therapy dogs)
  • Consent and Healthy Relationship Workshops
  • Mindfulness Sessions
  • Study Break Pop up's (e.g free snacks)

You're never alone — support is always close by

Moving into independent living can feel overwhelming at first, but our Res Life team is here to make the transition easier. We run practical workshops to help you build essential life skills, some of previous workshops we have put on include

  • Cooking Workshops (e.g budget meals)
  • Time Management and Study Hacks
  • Resume and Interview Prep
  • LinkedIn Profile Building Workshops

You’ve got this — and we’re here to help you build the skills to back it up.

Resident support

Your wellbeing matters — and you’re never alone in navigating uni life. Our Residential Life (Res Life) team is your friendly, approachable first point of contact when challenges arise. Whether you're facing mental health concerns, academic stress, or personal struggles, we’re here to listen, check in, and connect you with the right university support services. While we don’t provide direct counselling, we’ll help guide you to where you need to go.

But support goes beyond serious stuff, too. The Res Life team is here to make your time with us as enjoyable and stress-free as possible — through engaging events, practical workshops, and by fostering a safe, respectful community where everyone feels at home.

If you’re having issues with housemates — whether it’s noise, cleaning, or other conflicts — and talking things through hasn’t helped, our management team can step in to mediate and help find a positive resolution.

You’re never just a resident — you’re part of a community that’s here to support you.
