Welcome to your home away from home

Central Courtyard student accommodation is more than just a room. Our Residential Life program will support your transition into university life and beyond.

Our Res Life program

We offer events, support and activities throughout your stay which are developed around:

  • social events – fun with your community
  • wellbeing – supporting your welfare
  • skills – developing independent living.

Our Res Life team organises various social activities so you have the opportunity to meet as many new people as possible. Some of our previous events include:

  • surfing lessons
  • Taronga Zoo visits
  • Big Bus tours
  • on-site food events, such as Brazilian BBQ.

We also have themed events, such as Chinese New Year and Halloween celebrations.

Your wellbeing is important to us, which is why we have various support teams to ensure your safety and wellbeing at the University.

Res Life aims to be a friendly face for you to speak to about any concerns you have, and we can provide information about how to seek advice and support.

We also put on various events about wellbeing, such as:

  • mindfulness and meditation workshops
  • massages and therapy dog visits during exam time.

Transitioning to independent living can be daunting, but the Res Life team are here to support you.

We put on events about developing living skills, such as:

  • learning how to cook healthy meals
  • keeping your accommodation clean and tidy.

We also facilitate academic support workshops, with tips on how to revise and improve your presentation skills.

If you have any problems with your housemates – such someone not pulling their weight in terms of cleaning or being too loud – and speaking to them directly about the issue doesn’t work, the Res Life team can help mediate disagreements.
