Requesting an accessible room

We understand that individual requirements may differ, so get in touch with us directly and register your condition with the University Accessibility Service Team prior to applying.

You will need to supply:

  • evidence of your condition
  • information about how it impacts your studies or living arrangements.

Once an assessment has taken place and you are eligible for a suitable room, we will work with you along your booking journey.

Assistance dogs

The University recognises that some students may require an assistance dog to help them carry out daily activities.

If you require a registered assistance dog to live with you, contact us at housing@mq.edu.au and provide supporting documentation. We will assess your requirements and find room types that may be suitable for you and your dog.

Note: Therapy and support animals are different to assistance dogs, and are not permitted in the on-campus accommodation.
