Participation in on campus initiatives

The Student Diversity and Inclusion Team adopt a 'students as partners' approach to developing, delivering and evaluating campus-wide education initiatives.

"This activity has been approved to be recognised on AHEGS as of December 2019. No retrospective recognition will be made prior to this approval date."

These initiatives include workshops, O-Week sessions, and other awareness-raising efforts, covering priority areas such as respectful relationships, consent, sexual violence prevention and response, racism prevention, mental wellbeing, and social inclusion. Peer Educators contribute to the co-development of workshop and awareness-raising materials, and to co-delivery of face-to-face training across the student population. In doing so, they become co-creators and agents for change, contributing to a healthier and safer Macquarie campus community.
