Principal academic body of the University

Student members of the Academic Senate are elected and must meet eligibility criteria based on their enrolment status during their term in office.

"This activity has been approved to be recognised on AHEGS as of April 2018. No retrospective recognition will be made prior to this approval date."

AHEGS qualification criteria

During the Student Members term in office, they will:

  • conduct induction sessions
  • participate in Mentor Support
  • attend Academic Senate meetings
  • participate in other recognised faculty activities, subcommittees, meetings, working groups
  • participate in 3 sessions of the Career Support and Mentoring Program
  • complete the optional PACE unit
  • participate in the optional Global Leadership Program award points.

Skills required or developed

Skills developed relate to career support and development as well as mentoring.
