Faculty Boards

Faculty Boards ensure that students' interests and priorities are considered by Macquarie University's academic decision-making bodies.

Faculty Boards advise the Executive Dean and Academic Senate on a broad range of academic, research and higher degree research matters. Faculty Boards form a critical component of the University's academic governance framework.

Faculty Boards have been established under the Faculty Rules. These rules were made by the Council of Macquarie University under section 29 of the Macquarie University Act 1989.

Faculty Boards operate under the Terms of Reference [PDF 358KB] approved by the Vice-Chancellor.
