English Discussion Group
New at university? Want to improve your speaking skills? The Writing Centre is running a 12-week English-speaking discussion group to help you get your English language proficiency into shape. In these one-hour sessions facilitated by language and literacies experts, you will learn and practise Australian English for academic and professional contexts with fellow Macquarie students. These sessions are informal but informative — come join us and make new friends!

Every Tuesday, 2–3pm.
Meet at Learning Connect, Ground Floor, 18 Wally's Walk. Turn left as you enter and follow the signs.

Are you returning to study after some time away? Worried about being prepared, knowing what is expected and dusting off some study skills?
Come meet like-minded peers and a Learning Adviser to talk about academic literacies and adjusting to learning at uni.
