MATH1000

Planning to enrol in MATH1000? Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Did you do Mathematics for the HSC?
  • Did you do very well in General Mathematics for the HSC?
  • Do you feel confident that your mathematical skills are up to studying these units?
  • Do you feel comfortable manipulating (evaluating, rearranging, factorising) algebraic expressions?
  • Was your HSC as recent as 2019 or 2020?

If you answered NO to more than one of these questions, perhaps you should consider enrolling in the Preparatory Course in Mathematics Foundation Stream.

MATH1010

Planning to enrol in MATH1010? Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Did you do Extension 1 Mathematics in the HSC?
  • Did you do very well in Mathematics for the HSC?
  • MATH1010 assumes that you can recall and use the algebra, trig and calculus skills that you learned at school. Are you confident that you have these skills?
  • Do you feel adequately prepared to study university mathematics?
  • Was your HSC as recent as 2019 or 2020?

If you answered NO to more than one of these questions, perhaps you should consider enrolling in the Preparatory Course in Mathematics Extension Stream.
