Confirm your enrolment status

A status letter confirms your current enrolment status and can be used for identification purposes.

Domestic students can use the letter as proof of enrolment at organisations such as:

  • Centrelink
  • banks
  • gyms
  • other service providers.

The letter will include your:

  • personal details
  • course
  • major or specialisation (if applicable)
  • your commencement date (year and study period)
  • study loads for Centrelink
  • nominated session you expect to complete (if a Qualification Check has been done)

International students can use the letter as proof of enrolment:

  • to apply for a student visa
  • invite family to visit in Australia
  • for service providers such as banks or gyms.

You can use a status letter in conjunction with the confirmation of enrolment (CoE).

If you are an international student, your status letter will include:

  • your name
  • your course
  • your major or specialisation (if applicable)
  • your commencement date (year and study period)
  • whether you are full-fee paying or on a scholarship
  • your study load (full-time)
  • nominated session you expect to complete (if a Qualification Check has been done)

How to request a Status Letter

Current students can generate a Status Letter via eStudent:

  • Log in to eStudent
  • Click on the 'Forms' tile
  • Select ‘Status Letter Request’
  • Click on ‘Fill Out’ button
  • Select your admitted course
  • Press ‘Submit’

Your Status Letter will be sent to your student email account, please allow an hour for this process.

Holiday Letter

This letter confirms Macquarie's scheduled session breaks and recess periods for session-based students in 2026. It should be read in conjunction with your current status letter and the official academic calendar to ensure you have a complete understanding of all relevant study and holiday periods.

Jury Duty

Disruption to your studies

If you need to attend Jury Duty and this impacts your ability to complete assessment tasks, you may wish to apply for Special Consideration.

Seeking exemption

If you're seeking an exemption from Jury Duty due to your study/exam commitments during the study period, you may wish to provide the following documents as supporting evidence:

  • Status Letter
  • Enrolment and Registration Advice (see information below)
  • Personalised Exam Timetable (if related to your exam commitments)

An Enrolment and Registration Advice confirms your current enrolment and class timetable. To request an Enrolment and Registration Advice:

  • Log into eStudent
  • Click on 'My Study' tile
  • Select 'Manage my course'
  • Select 'Self Service Reports'
  • Next to 'Enrolment and Registration Advice', click 'Request'
  • Your Enrolment and Registration Advice will be sent to your MQ student email.
