MACQ2024 – Your student starter guide

MACQ2024 is your online guide to a successful start at Macquarie.

A resource designed to support new students, MACQ2024 gives you an introduction into what life and study will be like for you during your time with us.

We know the transition to uni can be an adjustment as there’s lots of information to take in, and new things to master. That’s why MACQ2024 was created – to step you through this starting journey and make sure you’re prepared for uni life.

The unit covers the following topics:

  • Starting at Macquarie: everything you need to know to get the best possible start at uni.
  • Connecting at Macquarie: find your place in our diverse student community, committed to respect, lifelong learning and positive relationships.
  • Learning at Macquarie: answering your questions about tertiary study and what it takes to excel in your degree.
  • Wellbeing at Macquarie: learn how to maintain a balance and develop healthy habits to sustain you throughout your student journey.
  • Employability at Macquarie: find out how to maximise your opportunities for gaining experience and skills to be job-ready.
  • Next steps: everything you need to know for what to do next for O Week and classes, and what your first session will look like.

You’ll be introduced to these topics through a series of fun and interactive activities via iLearn that you can complete at your own pace.
