Academic and sport achievements
The Ted O’Keeffe scholarship is awarded to a student on the basis of academic achievement and contribution to University sport and the University.
"This activity has been approved to be recognised on AHEGS as of April 2018. No retrospective recognition will be made prior to this approval date."
The Ted O’Keeffe scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship awarded by the Macquarie University Sports Association (MUSA) each year. It is awarded to a student in their second year of study or beyond proceeding to a degree or diploma at an undergraduate or postgraduate level at Macquarie University.
AHEGS qualification criteria
It is expected that the candidate would demonstrate:
- An academic achievement represented by a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better
- A high level of performance in one or more sporting fields and where possible represented Macquarie University at university sport competition
- Evidence of service to a sporting club, the organisation or the University in other fields of activities
