Student Service Award - Faculty of Science and Engineering

The Student Service Award recognises exceptional or outstanding service to the Macquarie University or Faculty student community.

"This activity has been approved to be recognised on AHEGS as of October 2018. No retrospective recognition will be made prior to this approval date."

AHEGS qualification criteria

All students enrolled in a degree program within Macquarie University's Faculty of Science and Engineering are eligible for consideration for the Award.

Selection will consider some or all of the following:

  • an exceptional and outstanding achievement or success
  • outstanding service to the Macquarie or Faculty student community. For example:
    • organising a large event/activity for student participation
    • sustained involvement in Macquarie voluntary schemes
  • an outstanding or novel initiative which has been implemented
    • for example, improved student communications or participation
  • any work significantly promoting collaborative relations with external organisations
  • participation in working groups for the improvement of Macquarie University and/or the Faculty.
