AHEGS qualification criteria
Students must
- be in at least their second of year at Macquarie University, be maintaining a GPA of 2.0 or more on a 4-point scale or 4.0 or more on a 7-point scale
- be competing in sport at an elite level and meet the sport achievement criteria
- meet the ethical guidelines of the University.
Skills required or developed
- Selected to represent Australia (individual event(s) or national team) at other international event (ie. not a significant event as per Full Blue criteria);
OR - Selected to represent Australia (individual event(s) or national team) in junior competition at significant international events, World Championships, World Cups, World Youth Olympics or
Trans-Tasman event;
OR - Compete as an elite amateur, semi-professional or professional athlete in national or Trans-Tasman junior competitions or championships (ie. NRL Toyota Cup, AFL Under 18 Championships, Under 19, 20 or 23 national competitions or events);
OR - Selected as Green and Gold recipient (individual event(s) or team) at an Australian University Games – a minimum of two (2) selections;
OR - Achieve status of Nationally ranked (top 3) open athlete in individual event;
OR - Win Sport Clubs 1st Grade Competition/ League Best and Fairest/ Most Valuable Player Award.
