Mentoring in the faculties

Mentoring in the faculties

Macquarie has faculty-specific mentoring programs that connect students with academic and/or peer mentors, so you can get some ongoing advice from those who have done it all before within your faculty.

Our mentors are current student volunteers who provide a friendly face, local knowledge and help organise academic and/or social meetings.

Macquarie Business School

  • First STEP mentoring first year undergraduates. First STEP (striving towards excellence program) is Macquarie Business School's academic-to-student mentoring program.
  • Lucy mentoring program is an innovative leadership program for women students in the Macquarie Business School.
  • Unit representative programAre you passionate about improving the learning experience and sharpening your communication skills? As a unit representative you are the bridge between the students and teaching staff, representing the voice of your fellow students. Your feedback helps to shape the future success of our faculty’s units. Unit representatives then have the opportunity to become department representatives, and regularly meet with the department heads and executive dean.
