Industry mentoring for business, science and engineering students
Lucy Mentoring is a joint Macquarie Business School and Faculty of Science and Engineering program empowering women and gender-diverse students through connections with professionals from the world of business, science and engineering.
About Lucy
The program provides eligible students access to a network of successful professionals in the industry. Students receive one-on-one mentoring from an industry professional with whom they can work towards their professional development goals. Mentors and students also attend events throughout the program where they will have the opportunity to meet other program participants, hear from inspiring guest speakers, and learn from engaging workshop facilitators with extensive industry experience.
2027 Program time frame
Mentees commit to spending a minimum of 20 hours being mentored during the program. To successfully complete the Lucy Mentoring Program and obtain the certificate, it is essential you attend all the sessions below and engage with your mentor.

Become a Lucy Mentee
Eligibility
To be eligible to participate in the program as a mentee, you must:
- Identify as a woman or a gender-diverse student
- Be enrolled in a Macquarie Business School and/or Faculty of Science and Engineering degree
- Undergraduate: completed a minimum of 80cp
- Postgraduate: no minimum credit point requirement
- Have a consistent pass rate (or above)
- Demonstrate a strong pattern of class attendance and engagement
- Commit to attending all events and workshops and engaging with your mentor
Preference may be given to students in their penultimate or final year of study.
