Events and resources to help you manage exam stress

Join us for free on campus and on demand events to help you relax and destress during exams.

On Campus Events

The Student Engagement, Inclusion and Belonging (SEIB) team will be running a series of events before and during exam season to help you destress, lock-in, and get the best out of your exams.

Marquee activities: Visit us at our purple SEIB stall from 11.30am – 1pm on the dates below for resources, freebies, games and more to help you relax and destress during exams.

Hot Food:  We are providing hot food, including lasagne, Japanese curry and freshly made cookies in the cafĂ© area at 10 Hadenfeld Avenue between 3.30 – 6:30pm, Monday - Thursday throughout exam season.

Free gym class:  Working out is a great way to destress your mind and body. Attend a free gym class from MQ Sport and Aquatic Center. Choose from a variety of classes such as Flex, Yoga, Pilates, Core, Cardio and many more.

Destress for Success with our charming grey mindfulness cart found at 10HA and 18WW! They’re stocked with soothing goodies to help you relax and reset:

  • Etch A Sketch to draw your stress away
  • Coloring books & pencils to soothe your mind
  • Light puzzles to gently refocus your thoughts
  • Affirmation cards to remind you that you’ve got this
  • Origami to slow down, fold by fold

The Sensory Space is a quiet space where you can reset and unwind located on the ground floor of 18WW. It’s full of sensory equipment like weighted blankets and fidget toys, as well as colouring books and comfy chairs.

Mental health check

When you’ve been stressed out and not feeling quite like yourself it can be difficult to know what to do. Check your levels of stress, anxiety, or low mood and see if you might benefit from learning specific tools to improve the way you feel, with 'This Way Up' and their free and anonymous Take-a-Test Tool.
