The services below provide targeted support based on your specific need.

Learning Advisers

The Learning Advisers are here to help you with complex writing, study and language issues relating to your assignments. They can support your academic success by helping you to study more effectively, plan strategies for your exams and better manage your workload; however, they do not proofread assignments before submission or provide content-related feedback.

Booked Consultations

You can book some time with a Learning Adviser. Consultations are usually 45 minutes and are available either in-person or online.

Buddy Up

Are you and a few buddies stuck on the same study issue? Want to get support together?

The new MQ Buddy Up small group consults with a Learning Advisor are just what you need. Bring your group and tackle your academic challenges collectively with the guidance of a learning adviser. These sessions are designed to foster collaborative learning, allowing you and your peers to benefit from shared insights and support. Whether you're struggling with assignments, study strategies or exam preparation, Buddy Up consultations provide a supportive environment to boost your learning experience together.

What do you need to do?
  • Get the names and MQ student Id numbers and emails of those attending
  • Use the form to make a group request
  • State what the study issue is that you want help with
  • Select from the available dates and times.
