Graduation ceremony timeline

Use the table below to see which ceremony series you’re likely to be invited to based on your conferral date.

Please keep in mind that these dates are subject to change and your ceremony date is not confirmed until you receive an official invitation 6–8 weeks before the ceremony. We cannot confirm your exact ceremony date and time earlier than this.

We recommend waiting until you've received your official invitation and you’ve completed your RSVP and Graduation Fee payment before booking flights or accommodation.

Graduation ceremony dates for 2026

• 20 April – 5 May 2026
• 6 – 16 October 2026
• 7 – 11 December 2026

Sanctions

A sanction (eg. outstanding debts or incorrect USI details) on your student account can prevent:

• qualification
• conferral
• receiving a graduation invitation
• accessing your graduation documents.

Please ensure you resolve any existing sanctions (and do not incur any further sanctions) to remain eligible to be qualified, conferred, invited to a ceremony, and receive your documents.

Note: You will not be invited to attend a graduation ceremony if you have already requested or received your graduation documents.

The schedule for October 2026 ceremonies will be available closer to the date.

All ceremonies are expected to run for approximately 90 minutes. If you are unable to attend your ceremony, you may apply to defer to the December series. Changes within the same ceremony series are not possible.
