Request to study more than a full-time study load

Credit overload allows eligible students to enrol in more units than the standard full-time study load in a session.

This option may suit students who are confident in managing additional academic demands and are looking to fast-track their studies or complete remaining units sooner.

Before you apply

It is important to consider whether taking on extra units is the right choice for you. Credit overload is not automatically approved and is assessed based on your academic performance, progress in your course, and whether the additional load is genuinely beneficial at your stage of study.

If you're thinking about applying, make sure you:

  • Are already enrolled in a full-time study load
  • Understand the eligibility requirements
  • Apply within the correct timeframes.

You can enrol yourself in the standard full-time load via eStudent. The Credit Overload form is only required if you're requesting to take additional units beyond that.

Note: If approved, you will be unable to change your enrolment for that session.
