Appealing a refund decision

Where a student withdraws from the Global Master of Business Administration degree or unit(s), or from the Non-Award Global Master of Business Administration unit(s) and requests a refund of fees in writing, the University will deduct certain amounts.

  • On or before census date and requests a refund of fees paid: AU$100.00
  • After census date: 100 per cent of tuition fees for the study period

Appeals and further information

International students

If you're not satisfied with the decision made on a refund of fees, you can submit a written appeal to Macquarie International.

You should include all previous correspondence with Macquarie International.

The appeal will be considered by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) or their nominee, and you'll be informed of the result of the appeal within 14 days of the receipt of the appeal.

All appeals should be sent to mi.compliance@mq.edu.au with the subject heading 'Global MBA refund appeal'.

Domestic students

If you're not satisfied by the decision made on a refund of fees, you can submit a written appeal to the Commonwealth Supported Students Team.

You should include all previous correspondence with the University concerning a refund request.

The appeal will be considered by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) or their nominee and you'll be informed of the result within 14 days of the receipt of the appeal.

All appeals should be submitted via an AskMQ enquiry with the subject heading 'Global MBA refund appeal'.
