Create your personalised career plan

The Career Exploration Program (CEP) is a brand new, free employability program aimed at first-year students.

Career Exploration icon The CEP allows you to develop your own career plan while interacting with other students, some of whom might have similar career interests.

The program offers first year students with guidance on creating and following your unique career plan. You can hear other students' ideas and be reassured that no one expects you to have everything figured out right now!

The CEP consists of two mandatory workshops over the course of the session delivered on campus, plus additional self-guided online modules.

As part of the CEP, you will be required to complete pre-work, fill out your career plan, and submit short reflections to demonstrate your learning. You'll also get the opportunity to complete a virtual experience with an employer through The Forage to further develop your job searching skills and professional branding.

Eligibility

Open to domestic and international students from all faculties and disciplines who are:
  • Currently enrolled in a degree as a first-year student (other years are still welcome to apply)
  • Enrolled during Session 1, 2024

To be awarded the Micro-Extra badge, all participants must:

  • Attend in full both workshops (dates below)
  • Submit all reflections as part of the program
  • Outside of the workshops, you'll spend between 8-10 additional hours developing your career plan through our online modules.
