Running a student group in the pandemic
Meet Joseph. Joseph is studying Telecommunications Engineering and is the President of the Engineers Without Borders Australia (EWB) student society.
Joseph and the rest of the EWB group had great plans for their student society. Then along came COVID. They, like everyone else across the globe, had to change plans, adapt and rethink their approach.
And they succeeded. They were so successful we asked them to share their ideas with you and Joseph’s Guide to Running a Student Group in a Pandemic was created.
It’s nearly time to enrol for 2022

Postgraduate students – you’ll be able to enrol in your 2022 Session 1 and 2 units from 20 October @9.30 (AEDT)
Undergraduate students – the date and time your enrolment opens depends on how many units you have left to complete. You’ll be able to find out what date and time it opens for you by logging into eStudent.
The Session 1 2022 timetable and class registration will be available in January. We’ll give you more information about that later.

What exactly is Contract Cheating?
It’s when you get someone else to do your assignment, or do the bulk of it, or edit it so much that it’s no longer your work. Usually this is done by someone like a family member, classmate or “Assignment Help” company.
It’s cheating. Assignments are to test your knowledge, not someone else’s.
Staff Wellbeing Day 22 October

Please check iLearn for an update if you have teaching activities scheduled on 22 October and please check the website of the MQ service you want, to see if they’re operating on 22 October. Student Connect will be open as usual.
For wellbeing support on this day, call 1800 CARE MQ (1800 2273 67), our out-of-hours support service or contact Beyond Blue, Mindspot, Qlife or Mensline.
