Designed by The Connective, a social enterprise that helps rejuvenate communities by creating nature experiences, the Slow Mo' Trail at Macquarie helped students and staff enjoy time in nature on campus.
As an evidence-based solution to stress, walks in nature have helped target mental restoration and repair as well as facilitate all round nature connection in our busy lives. Spread across six rejuvenation sites on the Macquarie University campus, this trail takes students and staff through a series of exercises to help activate the senses, facilitate mindful attention and engage in areas of nature that have a high level of sensory diversity.
By undertaking the trail regularly, participants can expect to see increases in positive mood, emotional regulation, attention restoration and greater resilience to anxiety.
The trail happens across other sites across New South Wales. If stressed, remember to go for a slow mo!
