The Library building is now 10 years old
13 August 2021
This year marks the 10th anniversary of our beloved library building, a landmark building for the university without a doubt.

Completed in 2011, the building was conceived with an emphasis on environmental sustainability, light and connection.
The library's building design was inspired by the native parklands of the campus and its design invites the landscape into the building by reflecting natural daylight.
Sustainability and eco-friendly practices are at the core of the building as 80% of the library’s construction was recycled.
The building also features Australia’s first automated document storage and retrieval system, consisting of an environmentally controlled vault with metal bins storing the items.
Let’s celebrate this magnificent construction and hope we can return to campus soon so we can make the best of all the wonderful resources the library offers.
