AFL Club

The Macquarie University Australian Football Club (MUAFC) competes in the AFL Sydney competition, with teams featuring in the Men's, Women's and Under 19's divisions.

Cheerleading Club

All teams are highly competitive in their divisions and compete at a number of events across the country. Positions in our elite teams are highly sought after and require a high level of commitment.

Cricket Club

The Macquarie University Cricket Club welcomes all players who want to play good standard, competitive cricket. With some of the best facilities in Sydney, this is the club for you!

Dance Club

The MQ Dance Club welcomes dancers of all standards and from all backgrounds. We participate in a number of different styles including: Pom, Hip - Hop, Jazz and Contemporary, and compete in a number of competitions throughout the year.

Fencing Club

As one of the oldest and coolest clubs on campus, MQ Fencing offers all fencers both young and old, experienced and new a chance to sharpen their skills or simply have a lot of fun! All new participants at any level are most welcome.

Hockey Club

If you're looking to combine your hockey skills with fun and friendship, then the Macquarie University Hockey Club is for you! We are a club that encourages everyone from beginners through to professionals, with women's and men's teams catering to all levels of experience.

If you are a die-hard powder junkie, or just enjoy being on the slopes, MacAlpine Ski Club would love to hear from you!

Martial Arts

Our society brings together like-minded people with interest in Martial Arts. Everyone is welcome to our regular training sessions and workshops that are run in a supportive environment. You will develop strength, coordination and mental and physical flexibility that will help you to cope with the demands of academic life.

Quidditch Club

Long separated from its fictional origins, quidditch is a mixed-gender, diverse and inclusive sport full of opportunities. All levels of athleticism are welcome!

Rowing Club

The Macquarie University Rowing Club is a social and competitive club where members are encouraged and supported by experienced coaches and peers to reach their sporting goals, regardless of experience level.

Rugby Football Club

The Macquarie University Rugby Football Club is one of the oldest sporting clubs on campus and prides itself on being a competitive force on the field, whilst maintaining a friendly and social atmosphere to enjoy your rugby. Rugby League Club

The Rugby League Club was established at Macquarie in 1969 and continues to provide quality coaching, training and playing opportunities as well as many social activities.

Soccer Club

The Macquarie University Soccer Club boasts an impressive and ever-expanding membership base that welcomes players of all standards and from all backgrounds. Men's teams compete in the Gladesville-Hornsby competition and Women's teams compete in the North West Sydney Woman's Football league.

Squash Club

Macquarie University Squash Club was established at the university in the late 1960's and participates in the NSW Squash Pennants (Northern District) as well as providing for student lunchtime squash and Uni Games teams.

Table Tennis Club

A group of students and community members who are interested in playing social and competitive table tennis. The club provides coaching as well as the opportunity to represent Macquarie University in various table tennis competitions.

Ultimate Frisbee Club

Ultimate Frisbee is an exciting, non-contact team sport played by two 7-person teams. It combines the best parts of soccer, American football, basketball and netball to produce a sport which is fun, simple and also a good workout.

Volleyball Club

The club aims to encourage and facilitate the development of volleyball skills in a fun, fair and enjoyable learning environment, focusing on both social and competition environments.

Waterpolo Club

The Macquarie University Water Polo Club is an exciting sporting and social club with members who play National League Water Polo and Australian Water Polo. The club welcomes members of any ability.
