DDA accessible rooms

Our new accessible rooms have features to assist our students’ additional needs.

These rooms have been specifically designed with accessibility in mind. Macquarie University Accommodation Services works closely with Accessibility Services to ensure that we can assist with your application and offer you the most suitable room.

The room includes a number of design features including:

  • no height difference between tile and carpeted areas
  • desk suitable for wheelchair access
  • large bathroom with accessibility features

How to apply

During the application process you will be required to provide information specific to your accessibility needs. After you’ve submitted your application, you will receive a short survey to help Accessibility Services determine your suitability for our DDA rooms or whether another room type may be suitable.
