Macquarie has many places you can use for study purposes either during the day or after hours.
The Library is the main hub for studying with five levels of general, quiet and silent study spaces, as well as presentation practice pods. You can book a room in the library online.
There are nine quiet rooms at the back of level one. You can book a room for up to two hours per day and up to seven days in advance.
When the library closes for the day, staff will tell you the location of the after-hours study rooms which are open until 2am. University Security will patrol the area and access to these rooms.
Quiet study space
Our quiet study space is in Room 325 in Building C5A and offers:
- permanent storage facilities
- desks with drawers
- a team room
- meeting room
The room is available for student groups to run quiet events and for study. You can enter the room via Room 325 or Room 329 in C5A.
Your Macquarie University Spatial Experience (MUSE) is a place to chill, study, debate, chat, eat lunch, meet with your student club and escape. It is also the home of Student Connect. You can book rooms online.
After hours study rooms
After hours study rooms are available from the time the library closes until 2am. The rooms are not accessible on days the library is closed.
