English Discussion Group

New at university? Want to improve your speaking skills? The Writing Centre is running a 12-week English-speaking discussion group to help you get your English language proficiency into shape. In these one-hour sessions facilitated by language and literacies experts, you will learn and practise Australian English for academic and professional contexts with fellow Macquarie students. These sessions are informal but informative — come join us and make new friends!

Starting 26 February (week 2)

Every Wednesday and Friday, 2 to 3 pm (you can come on the day that suits you or better still, on both days!)

Meet at Learning Connect, Ground Floor, 18  Wally's Walk.  Turn left as you enter and follow the signs.

English Conversation Club

The English Conversation Club is designed for international students who want to enhance their conversational English skills. It's a social, fun and relaxed online setting where everyone is encouraged to talk, share their experiences, practise their speaking, improve their confidence to talk in public and successfully interact with others.  Find out more on their website.
