Understanding policy and procedure at Uni

To help you best present your case, we have summarised key policies that you may need to access while studying at Macquarie. Read through these guides carefully before submitting an application or contacting us regarding your enquiry.

Discipline Committee meetings

If the university believes you have breached a policy (such as the Academic Integrity Policy or Student Code of Conduct), you may be invited to attend a meeting to discuss the matter. Special Consideration

If you experience short-term, unexpected, serious and unavoidable circumstances, which affect your performance in assessment, you may be able to apply for Special Consideration. View our Guide to Special Consideration [PDF 237KB] for more information about eligibility and how to apply.

Academic Progression

The Academic Progression process at Macquarie helps you to stay on track with your program. Our Guide to Academic Progression [264KB] explains the different levels of standing, and how to appeal a suspension or exclusion under this policy.

Complaint management procedure

Students who experience concern or dissatisfaction about any university-related matter which is not otherwise covered by an existing review, appeal or reporting procedure, can seek a resolution through the Complaint Management Procedure. Withdrawal without penalty
