Join us for Orientation Week (O-Week)
- During O-Week, learn all about your new faculty and course
- Join a campus tour to explore the greater Macquarie University campus
- Meet your classmates and teachers
- Select a mentor
- Participate in a range of social activities
Access Wellbeing support if needed
- Don’t wait until exam stress kicks in! Learn about the many personal support options now, and then access these services later if required.

Make the most of the Learning Skills Support available to you
- Receive help with your assignments via StudyWISE
- Discuss assignments and/or study issues with peer volunteers via WriteWISE
- Gain one-on-one feedback on academic writing from a Studiosity Tutor
- Participate in a Learning Skills workshop and develop specific academic skills.
- Check out the Numeracy Centre and take advantage of their free drop-in service and weekly workshops.
Engage with Macquarie’s Career and Employment Service
- Need help searching and applying for jobs? Looking to improve your skills to become career-ready?
- Explore the online resources available on the Career and Employment Service’s CareerWISE iLearn module.
Join a new student group
- Find your tribe in one of Macquarie University’s 140 student groups created by students for students.
- Join a professional or faculty student group to connect with people studying the same course as you.
Become part of PACE and GLP
- Sign-up for Macquarie’s Global Leadership Program (GLP) and start developing your leadership skills and knowledge of international issues.
- Learn about Macquarie’s award-winning Professional and Community Engagement (PACE) program.
