My Study Plan
My Study Plan - FAQs
Want to find out more about how to use your study plan?
Check out this video to understand how to read your study plan.
Why do I have multiple study plans?
If you are admitted to more than one course, you will see a study plan for each of those courses.
To confirm whether this is you, check the My Enrolment tab in eStudent.
Why do I have multiple versions of my study plan?
If you have multiple versions of the same course, you should refer to the study plan with the highest version number – this will be the most up to date study plan. This may occur if your faculty has amended how students in your version of the course are updated to the 2020 version.
My study plan is incorrect – I’ve recently passed some units and it’s not reflected?
Will I get a new study plan my after each session/study period, ie will it be updated with my results going forward?
Your study plan is correct as at the date of issue (see page 1 of your plan), it is not updated after each study period.
Why does my study plan look different from my friend’s? We are in the same course.
For most students, their study plan will display the units studied and results attained, as well as the course structure.
For some students we are not able to display this information and the study plan only shows the course structure.
The study plan for your course contains the units and results that you have undertaken. Therefore, each study plan is personalised and unique to each student, you may have studied different units or specific comments that are relevant only to your circumstances.
If I change my course, will I get a new study plan?
No, you will not be sent a personalised study plan, you will need to refer to the Handbook.
Why does my study plan differ from the Handbook?
The Handbook provides the course structure for new students.
The study plan is for continuing students only.
Faculties have reviewed every student in each course and determined the most appropriate pathway for students to complete their degree. They have taken into account the individual circumstances, for example previous units completed, or the major selected. This course structure is different from the one in the 2020 Handbook.
