About HDR Mentor
Aim of HDR Mentors:
To create a sustainable peer to peer platform to support and enhance the research quality, capability and experience of the HDR students.
Objectives of HDR Mentors:
- Peer to peer support: deliver peer to peer support by facilitating the flow of information to meet the administrative, academic and social support to HDR students. This is conducted through the development of peer support relationships.
- Research community development: encourage a sense of scholarly community within Macquarie University, to develop meaningful partnerships with the research community which includes the MRes, PhD and Faculty staff members. This aims to support new students moving from a peer support to a collegial relationship.
- Research network development: increase awareness, knowledge and accessibility of the various university services, promote core values and future directions specifically in the context of support for new students. This aligns with the expectations of the Macquarie University Strategic Research Framework: 2015-2024.
- Social network development: promote and enable socially inclusive and equitable environments across interdisciplinary, inter-university and international research community.
