Annual Progress Report

Annual Progress Report

Completion of the APR is mandatory for all currently enrolled PhD and MPhil candidates (but not for MRes candidates). This includes students who have been asked to 'revise and resubmit' their thesis (major/minor changes are excluded).

Who needs to complete the Annual Progress Report?

You do not need to complete the Annual Progress Report if any of the following apply:

  • You enrolled after 31 July 2019
  • You have been on a continuous Leave of Absence since 1 January 2019
  • You submitted your thesis to HDRO on or before 20 September 2019
  • You notified the University of your complete withdrawal from your degree on or before 20 September 2019

Failure to complete the APR may result in a departmental review, including the suspension of scholarship. This is outlined in the Universities Policies which can be accessed by clicking here. If you are unable to submit by the due date or are unable to submit online, you must contact your Faculty HDR Manager and HDRO immediately.

Confidential Feedback

In some instances, you may be experiencing issues that you do not wish to include in your APR, or discuss with either your supervisor(s) or Faculty Associate Dean (HDR). If this is the case, you can request a confidential appointment with your Faculty HDR Manager or the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Training and Partnerships), Professor Nick Mansfield.
