Macquarie University is committed to providing a strong and supportive research culture. We encourage feedback from HDR candidates regarding positive and challenging experiences.
HDR feedback is crucial to the continual development of our HDR programs, and has resulted in a number of additions to HDR at Macquarie, including the Central Commencement Program and supervisor training workshops.
A number of feedback opportunities exist. Aside from the Annual Progress Report, these are all confidential and voluntary.
The Postgraduate Research Experience Questionnaire (PREQ), is a national survey offered to HDR candidates on graduation by Macquarie and Graduate Careers Australia (GCA). Upon graduation, you will be contacted about the survey.
The MUSEQ-R survey is an annual survey for all HDR candidates, seeking to gauge overall satisfaction with Macquarie's HDR experience. Although exact dates differ, the survey often runs during the fourth quarter of each year.
Responses are aggregated by Macquarie Analytics, analysed by the Office of HDR Training and Partnerships and presented to the HDR Committee with recommendations for action. You can access the survey here.
