Access peer-to-peer support

The Graduate Research Mentors program aims to create a sustainable peer-to-peer platform to support and enhance the experience of all HDR candidates.

Objectives of the Graduate Research Mentors program

HDR mentors provide:

  • Peer-to-peer support: deliver peer-to-peer support by facilitating the flow of information to meet the administrative, academic and social support to HDR students. This is conducted through the development of peer support relationships.
  • Research community development: encourage a sense of scholarly community within Macquarie University, to develop meaningful partnerships with the research community which includes the MRes, PhD and Faculty staff members.
  • Research network development: increase awareness of and access to research services and support across the University.
  • Social network development: promote and enable a socially inclusive environment, and increase connectedness to the University's research community.
