Booking events 

To book barbecues, space for promotional events, rooms, etc. you must fill in an event request form on MacSync. Campus Life will ensure that the area is available and safe to use for the event requested. Only the authorised representatives of your group may do this.

Please submit an event request form at least five working days before the event. Always factor in time needed to advertise your events when booking.

Holding events on campus

You will need to submit an event request form on MacSync to hold events on campus. It will be processed and confirmed if terms and conditions are adhered to. The ‘Create an Event’ option can be found under the 'Events' tab of your student group portal.

Holding events off campus 

If you want to hold student group activities off campus you will need to submit an event request form on MacSync. This will be reviewed by Campus Engagement Officers. You may be required to arrange a meeting with Student HQ to clarify details of the event.

Advertising events 

You can advertise your events on the events calendar and posters throughout the Campus Hub building if they are not on glass. You can request to print any A4 or A3 posters by completing the printing request form in MacSync under the ‘forms’ tab of your student group portal. You are also able to utilise the big screen in the Central Courtyard by emailing studentgroups@mq.edu.au. Please refer to the One Vision content guidelines before sending submissions.
