Macquarie’s multi award-winning PACE (Professional and Community Engagement) program engages you in real world learning activities with organisations across Australia and around the globe. Through PACE you gain that all-important practical experience employers really value.
COVID-19 Update - The PACE Team is working closely with its partners and PACE Unit Convenors to find innovative ways to ensure that PACE experiences that are mutually beneficial and safe, can continue to occur. Arrangements for PACE vary by unit and type of activity, and are adapting as the COVID-19 situation evolves and as necessary. Your PACE Unit Convenor or Faculty PACE Team will keep in touch with you to provide updates on current arrangements. Please continue to direct any questions to your Faculty PACE team by email.
How does PACE work?
All Macquarie Bachelor degrees include at least one PACE unit. You'll do a practical learning activity as part of the PACE unit. The activity gives you an opportunity to explore key economic, social and ethical challenges by seeing first-hand how contemporary organisations address them. You get to contribute your knowledge, ideas and a fresh perspective to real-world projects which support the host organisation’s mission and objectives.
What are the benefits?
PACE offers extensive benefits to build your skills and ability to adapt in a rapidly changing world. Take the first step towards your future career and gain the skills you'll need to help you stand out from other graduates.
How is PACE different?
The scope, scale and diversity of PACE is unmatched in the Australian Higher Education sector. We have a vast network of over 3,000 host organisations both within Australia and in over 25 countries around the world. We’ve embedded PACE units into all our Bachelor degrees. So no matter what you are studying you will get the benefits of PACE.
